Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not out here recommending hotels I haven’t stayed in myself. Every single place on this list? I’ve slept in those beds, tested the customer service, and raided the breakfast buffet. I don’t just throw around praise for fun—if I say it’s worth your money, it’s because I’ve literally put my own money where my mouth is.

You won’t find any budget spots here. I like my comfortable 4- and 5-star hotels, but I’m also not about to blow a fortune on some over-the-top suite I’ll barely see. These hotels are handpicked for being stylish, comfortable, and perfectly suited for people like me who spend all day out exploring, and only need their room to be a solid base to recharge. 

These are the best of the best from all over the world, and trust me—they’re as good as I say they are. If they weren’t, I’d tell you they suck.
